Goal Setting
Bridging the Gap Between Vision and Goals
Vision Transfer: To get a measurable goal, you need to properly quantify your vision.
Define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Determine the metrics that will measure your progress towards your goals. These KPIs should be specific, quantifiable, and relevant to your vision.
Set SMART Goals: Apply the SMART framework to create clear and achievable goals. Each goal should contribute to your overall vision.
Prioritize Your Goals: Rank your goals based on their importance and urgency. Focus on the most critical goals first.
Executing Your Goals
Create an Action Plan: Develop a detailed plan outlining the steps required to achieve each goal.
Accountability: How, or who? This is where I can help the most. You need someone to hold you accountable, it helps build the discipline.
Monitor Progress: Track your progress towards your goals regularly. Use your KPIs to measure your performance.
Celebrate Milestones: Acknowledge and reward achievements along the way to maintain motivation. This is a key aspect! Your subconscious needs to “feel” good, it will help it drive you toward doing it again, and again. There are a few ways to perform this.
Overcoming Challenges
Lack of Motivation: Stay focused on the benefits of achieving your goals. Celebrate small victories and seek support from others. Again, this is accountability and discipline. Outside support is a great tool.
Obstacles and Setbacks: Develop a contingency plan to address potential challenges. Learn from setbacks and use them as opportunities for growth.
You have probably used goals before, but have you tracked them? Are you using Key Performance Indicators? If you are not measuring, how do you know your future direction? Also, are you staying with it, weekly reviews as a minimum? Using someone like me is a small cost, for a larger and sustainable gain.
